This work was inspired by the experience of living between worlds — geographically, emotionally, and psychologically.

For me, transition has never been a clean break. It has always felt layered, gradual, and deeply internal. When I moved away from the life I once knew, I didn’t simply arrive somewhere new. I carried the past with me — memories, identities, attachments — all coexisting with the person I was becoming. The inspiration behind this work is ultimately about becoming comfortable within transition — about understanding that identity is not fixed, but evolving, and that there is beauty in the in-between. 

Esta obra fue inspirada por la experiencia de vivir entre mundos — geográfica, emocional y psicológicamente.

Para mí, la transición nunca ha sido una ruptura limpia. Siempre se ha sentido como algo estratificado, gradual y profundamente interno. Cuando me alejé de la vida que conocía, no simplemente llegué a un lugar nuevo. Llevé el pasado conmigo — recuerdos, identidades, vínculos — todos coexistiendo con la persona en la que me estaba convirtiendo.

La inspiración detrás de esta obra es, en última instancia, aprender a sentirme cómoda dentro de la transición — comprender que la identidad no es fija, sino evolutiva, y que existe belleza en el intermedio.
