"Priorities"

This painting was one of the most joyful experiences I’ve had while creating. It felt effortless and intuitive — I was smiling from beginning to end. There was a sense of freedom in the process, as if the work was unfolding naturally on its own.
At its heart, the piece celebrates a simple vision of an ideal life: existing comfortably in one’s own skin, at ease, and surrounded by the quiet companionship of beloved animals. It speaks to intimacy, trust, and the kind of happiness found in unguarded moments.
The painting is also a tribute to a small stray cat who wandered into our lives one day. We helped her recover, regain her strength, and eventually find a home. Her presence — fragile yet resilient — became part of the spirit of the work, a reminder of care, connection, and the unexpected bonds that shape our lives.

Esta pintura fue una de las experiencias más alegres que he tenido al crear. Se sintió fluida e intuitiva — estuve sonriendo de principio a fin. Había una sensación de libertad en el proceso, como si la obra se estuviera desplegando de manera natural por sí sola.
En su esencia, la pieza celebra una visión simple de la vida ideal: existir cómodamente en la propia piel, en calma, y rodeada de la silenciosa compañía de animales queridos. Habla de intimidad, de confianza y de esa felicidad que se encuentra en los momentos sin defensas.
La pintura es también un homenaje a una pequeña gata callejera que un día llegó a nuestras vidas. La ayudamos a recuperarse, a recobrar fuerzas y, finalmente, a encontrar un hogar. Su presencia —frágil pero resiliente— se convirtió en parte del espíritu de la obra, un recordatorio del cuidado, la conexión y los vínculos inesperados que dan forma a nuestras vidas.
