I created Bridge to (Every)where and You Can Live Here during a time in my life when everything I thought was stable had dissolved. I was in between worlds — between countries, between identities, between versions of myself. I was searching not just for a place to live, but for a place to belong.

My life had been turned upside down. I felt unanchored, afraid, and creatively paralyzed. Yet within that uncertainty, something began to surface. These works became my way back to myself.

 In You Can Live Here, the small red house becomes a symbol of possibility — not a fixed structure, but an idea of refuge. Home is no longer a geographical certainty; it becomes an internal negotiation. The body and the land merge, dissolve, and reassemble. Memory, vulnerability, and resilience coexist within the same visual field.

These pieces carried me through a period of deep disorientation. I poured into them my fear, my longing, and ultimately my hope. They allowed me to transform instability into movement, and movement into meaning. Through them, I began to understand that home is not always a destination — sometimes it is the act of crossing, of rebuilding, of choosing to stay present within transition.
